The mission of the Atlanta Public Library is to improve the quality of life of its patrons by expanding their horizons, meeting their learning needs, and enhancing their interests in meaningful and entertaining ways.
Services
The Atlanta Public Library offers a wide variety of services to its patrons. In addition to a collection of several thousand books, the library also hosts a collection of DVDs and audiobooks, all available for checkout to any anyone with a current Illinois library card. The Atlanta Public Library is also a member of the RAILS system which allows patrons access to the collections of other Illinois libraries as well as a large database of e-books.
